Can foreigners own property in Costa Rica?
Yes. Foreign nationals may own titled property in Costa Rica on the same terms as Costa Rican citizens, including full ownership of clear-title land.
What does “clear title” mean, and why does it matter?
Clear title means the property is privately owned and registered, rather than held under a State concession. It offers stronger ownership rights, greater development flexibility, and generally lower taxes than concession land within the Maritime Zone.
Are the Tambor Tropical properties clear title?
The flagship beachfront hotel and its adjacent land are held under clear title. The Ocean View Lots farm is also clear title. Details for each property are provided on its individual page.
How far are the properties from the airport and the beach?
The Ocean View Lots are approximately seven minutes from the regional airport and two minutes from the beach, with a golf course about five minutes away. Other properties’ distances are listed on their respective pages.
Is financing available?
